TAJ Racing $500 Beater Racing at it's best!

Finally getting setteled in and unpacked after a long race weekend where the TAJ Racing team finished 3rd and 6th overall at the ChumpCar 12 Hours of Homestead.   The de Moya Group / Leware Construction Ford Mustang finished a solid 3rd overall in spite of a couple unscheduled pit stops for overheating and a broken oil line. 

The de Moya Group / Leware Construction Ford Escort finished 6th due to having an electrical issue the first half of the race.  After the electrical problem was solved, the Escort was one of the fastest cars on the track.

The race was red flagged twice for heavy rain and lightning in the area.  

TAJ Racing had a great time down there with all the competitors and we'll be sure to step up our game at Roebling Road in August!

 The driver lineups have been made for the ChumpCar 12 Hours of Homestead!

In the #45 Leware Construction / D.T. Read Steel Ford Escort GT.R Mk III TAJ Racing is proud to have international driving stars Danny Stewart and Chris Nussbaum both of Tampa, FL.  Joining them will be SCCA racing veteran Ralph Radhay of Tampa, FL and future F-1 World Champion Christian Funk of Melbourne, FL.

In the #46 Leware Construction / D.T. Read Steel Ford Mustang will be TAJ Racing drivers John Floyd of Temple Terrace, FL and Travis Floyd also of Temple Terrace, FL.  Joining them are Porsche Aces and regular TAJ Racing drivers John Bolles and Richard Lockwood.

TAJ Racing has been busy building it's latest entry.  'Mustang Sue' is starting to take shape.  We recently had a chance to do some testing at the TAJ Racing prooving grounds and the Leware Construction / D.T. Read Steel Mustang performed extremely well.  The team is in high gear preparing BOTH cars for the ChumpCar World Series race at Homestead / Miami Speedway in Homestead, FL!!

TAJ Racing was thrilled to finish 4th overall at The Rock over the weekend.  This outstanding finish extends the team's stellar record of finishes in endurance racing.  

The Leware Construction / D.T. Read Steel Ford Escort GT ran flawlessly during the 14 hour event.  TAJ Racing driver John Bolles set the fast lap of the team during his daytime stint while driver John Floyd was the fastest after the sun went down.  

Currently the team is now in full preparation mode in getting the Mustang ready for its debut race in a little over seven weeks at Homestead, FL. 

Again, we would like to thank Leware Construction and D.T. Read Steel for their partnership with TAJ Racing!

It's RACEDAY!!  The Leware Construction / D.T. Read Steel Ford Escort GT and the team are ready to tackle THE ROCK here in Rockingham, NC!  The plan is for John Bolles to start for us then Dr. Richard Lockwood, Christian K. Funk, John and Travis Floyd to follow.

TAJ Racing hopes everyone had a happy and safe New Year and is ready for the 2010 racing season to get underway!  TAJ Racing is gunning for FIVE races in 2010 with plans for a possible SIXTH!!  We are currently getting the D.T. Read Ford Escort GT ready to tackle the 24 Hours of Rockingham, March 13 - 14, 2010 in the ChumpCar World Series.  Check back here for updates!

**September 18th Update**

The D.T. Read Steel sponsored TAJ Racing Team Ford Escort GT finished well in last weeks 24 Hours of LeMons at Carolina Motorsport Park.  The team overcame alot of adversity to earn a respectable 28th finishing position overall out of 110 entries.  Full detailed race report to come shortly!
